Carlson Hills Dog Kennel is a family-owned business located in Cherry Creek, BC, just 10 minutes outside Kamloops. We are passionate about sharing our love for dogs, particularly Labrador Retrievers. Our kennel specializes in breeding chocolate, black, and yellow Labradors. We take pride in our commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment for our dogs that they can call their second home.
We have built a new custom-built facility for dogs to enjoy and be their vacation. From boarding to training to daycare, we're here to make every wag of their tail happy with our dog kennel in Kamloops.
At Carlson Hills Dog Kennel, we deeply love and respect dogs. Our passion for breeding Labrador Retrievers began with our family pets. We found ourselves constantly impressed by their intelligence, loyalty, and loving nature. As our love for our dogs grew, we decided to share our experience and knowledge of breeding with others. Our Facility
About Us
Jerred and I (Ashley) both both grew up in Kamloops and met in high school. We have two boys, Caleb and Cayden, and two Labrador Retrievers, Sadie and Piper. We both grew up with dogs, but ever since I was a kid, I have wanted a chocolate Labrador Retriever and a "Puppy Farm." I always got a warm, buttery feeling every time I saw a lab, and one year later, Jerred surprised me on my birthday with our first lab, Bromley. We brought Bromley with us EVERYWHERE, and he impacted our lives, friends, and family. In January 2024, we had to say goodbye to Bromley; it was the hardest thing I have ever done. The memories we create with our fur babies imprint on our lives.
In 2022, Jerred and I purchased 20 acres of bare land and built our second home together, and the opportunity for my "puppy farm" began to happen. I met my inspiring neighbour Linda Cline (Someday Retrievers), who shared my passion for Labs. It wasn't until soon after that that we became great partners, and now we breed Labrador Retrievers together at our facility. I am honoured to learn from a truly inspiring woman who has been breeding and training dogs in the industry for over 30 years.
My passion for dogs continued to grow (literally too much for our house), and in the fall of 2023, with the help of family and friends, we began building our custom dog kennel. I wish Bromley could have seen Carlson Hills Dog Kennel finished, but in his memory, I am dedicated to providing a fun, safe environment for all dogs.
